Jacob’s love for film started back in his teenage years after watching Alfonso Cuaron’s ‘Children of Men’. Becoming entranced by the stunning visuals and compelling storytelling, he knew the film industry was where he wanted to work. After making his first film at A-level, and successfully convincing his family to star in it, Jacob took himself to study Film and Television at Teesside University where he gained the valuable experience necessary to start his career. Since then, he has worked in a variety of different professional companies, such as the Clearcut Pictures, Take 2 Films and, most recently, the Bristol based Animation company Aardman, spending the past year and a half as a 3rd Assistant Director on Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. On top of this, Jacob has always sought to collaborate on more independent projects such as promotional videos, short films, and music videos, taking on an assortment of different positions from directing and writing, to more practical roles in camera and lighting.
